The Welding program offered at the Cape May County Technical School District is part time (Monday through Wednesday), 5:00pm until 8:00pm, September through April.

  • The American Welding Society Basic Welder (1-G) certification testing will be offered on site to all students that meet program requirements.


Course Hours and Requirements
Class will be held three days per week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings) from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and will run September through April. All Post Secondary students must:
  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Pass the pre-admission testing Reading – Math – Vocabulary and Spelling
  • 18 years of age or older by October 15th of the enrolling year.
  • Pass the pre admission testing
Placement and Income
Within NJ there is a lot of variation in placement opportunities & income depending on a wide range of factors form population to general competiveness in a market. Salary.com lists level welders median salary as $39, 283 in the Atlantic City area.

How to Apply
The first step in the Post Secondary Welding admission process is to take the Pre-admission test. The cost of the test is $15.
