Our Adult, Twilight Cosmetology program offers state – approved training for the NJ Cosmetology license. Our more than 1,000-hour program offers classroom and hands – on- training in hair, skin, nail and barbering techniques. Students practice skills on mannequins, each other and then out side customers in our school clinic. Cosmetology students may work in private shops with their student permit once they complete 60% of their course.

Course Hours and Requirements
Cosmetology students attend Monday thru Thursday, 1:30 pm to 9:30pm, September through June. All Cosmetology students must:
  • Be able to read English at a 12th grade level
  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Have basic math skills
  • Pass the pre admission testing
Placement and Income
Typically 90% or more of Cosmetology graduates find work in the field. Starting wages range from $25k - $30k/year and after about 5 years in the field the range is typically $35k and up/year.

How to Apply
The first step in the Cosmetology admission process is to take the Pre-admission test. The cost of the test is $10 call for the registration form, the testing is held in the Spring.
