POSITION:
ATHLETIC TRAINER PART TIME

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in athletic training and a valid state license or certification.

2. Strong understanding of the challenge’s athletes face, proper nutrition, sports injuries, and treatment options.

3. Understanding of first-aid treatments, massage, and physical therapy techniques and equipment.

4. Flexibility with scheduling to accommodate the evolving needs of athletic seasons.

5. Knowledge of applicable federal and state law regarding education and students.

6. Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.

7. Meets the health requirements of all personnel including the ability to work outside in varying weather conditions.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the general supervision of the athletic director and school principal, the athletic trainer shall work with medical professionals and coaches to evaluate athletes' condition, establish plans for wellness and treatment, while tracking progress towards established goals. You should be motivated to assist athletes, coaches, and families as needed through a strong understanding of sports-related injuries and treatments. The athletic trainer shall maintain records relating to athlete condition and treatment plans, while also handling clerical tasks, such as maintaining inventory, assisting with budgets, or restocking supplies.
