QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid New Jersey instructional CTE certificate or certificate of of eligibility (#4182)

Relative industry experience preferred.

Meets the health qualifications required of all personnel

JOB DESCRIPTION:
PowerSports Instructor will focus on small engine repair and be responsible for teaching students how to identify engine and chassis components and use factory repair manuals to diagnose and repair various types of outdoor power equipment. PowerSports Instructor will cover theory, maintenance and repair of equipment such as on and off-road motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, Personal Watercraft, and lawn and garden equipment.   Students in the PowerSports Program will gain practice in precision measuring, diagnosis/problem-solving and failure analysis which are evaluated by performance testing. These skills will be applicable to boats, personal watercraft, motorcycles, watercraft, lawn and garden equipment, and other ATVs and UTVs. two-stroke and four-stroke engines, suspension, braking, and electrical systems will be covered.
