REACH your goals with SBYS - School Based Youth Services!

Trips promote fitness and education by introducing students to new activities. Recent trips have included kayaking, skiing, snowboarding, baseball games, rock climbing, sand sculpting, and paintball. SBYS Adventures have also included traveling to New York City, the Holocaust Museum in Washington , D.C., and waterfalls in Pennsylvania.
Lunch-time groups cover a variety of topics including pregnancy prevention, substance use, employment skills, decision making, self esteem, combating rumors, nutrition, stereotyping, and resolving conflicts.
Services may include a referral to primary and preventative health services, guidance filling out an application for insurance, employment services, advocacy, and/or concrete assistance such as providing groceries or a prom dress.
We offer individual, group, and family counseling. Counseling services are free. We provide supportive counseling to help students reach their goals. For example, goals may be to lose weight, improve grades, save money, get a job, or stop smoking. With an additional consent, students who have a mental health diagnosis may receive clinical therapy with one of our masters level therapists.
Regardless of the situation, our counselors provide students with hope when students understand that we are here to help. If we can not provide the service, we will do our best to find out who can.
