Environmental Science & Sustainability

Environmental Science and Sustainability focuses on the application of biological, chemical and physical principles to the study of the physical environment and the solution of environmental problems. This includes subjects such as abating or controlling environmental pollution and degradation; the interaction between human society and the natural environment; and natural resources management. The program incorporates instruction in biology, chemistry, physics, geosciences, climatology, statistics and mathematical modeling. 

Students Will

  • Learn outside of a traditional classroom in our waterways, marshes, greenhouses, and grow out ponds
  • Develop research skills by reviewing existing data and compiling your own using the latest technology to analyze soil, water, pollution levels and more
  • Complete projects across disciplines to find solutions to real-world environmental issues
  • Explore a wide range of job opportunities in the field through internships, field trips and other interactions with professionals who have the job you want
  • Build an exclusive skillset that includes drone operation, geo-mapping, greenhouse maintenance and much, much more
