Electrical Trades

Electrical Trades will offer an introduction to the concepts of electrical technology. Classroom and shop instruction provide the student with knowledge on AC/DC, motors, electric lighting, conduit bending,pull and junction boxes, conductor installations,cable trays, conductor terminations/splices,grounding and bonding, and circuit breakers and fuses. Within this program general apprenticeship and job opportunities through our Cooperative Education Coordinator are encouraged for eligible students during their senior year with various electric companies who Cape May Tech has partnered with. In this course, they may prepare for the Skills USA competition, practice for the IBEW apprenticeship program exam, and take part in work-based learning opportunities.

  • Participate in activities for this program in a state-of-the-art facility.
  • Explore a wide range of job opportunities within thefield through internships, field trips, and otherinteractions with professionals within the industry.Receive OSHA10 certification.
